Downtown’s premier summer block party is back for year three, better than ever, as City Social returns to Washington Avenue, Friday, May 17. The free event is designed for St. Louisans to kick back, relax, and enjoy live music Downtown with friends, neighbors, and colleagues.
“Downtown St. Louis is the central hub of music, culinary delights, and enjoyment for St. Louis. We’ve crafted an unparalleled experience for the community to come together as we launch into the summer season,” said Niddy Gritty, Executive Producer of HushSTL. “City Social is a vibrant community block party where each step and around every corner we unveil something exciting,”
Drinks will be available for purchase on site and food is available at surrounding restaurants an pop ups along Washington Avenue throughout the party.
"City Social is the perfect way to kick off summer in Downtown St. Louis. Washington Avenue is one of St. Louis's most historic and iconic streets, and City Social brings it to life with St. Louis music, food, and fun,” said Kurt Weigle, Chief Downtown Officer for Greater St. Louis, Inc. “We invite everyone to experience — and become a part of — the momentum building Downtown."
City Social — sponsored by Greater St. Louis, Inc. and the City of St. Louis, in conjunction with the Office of the Treasurer — is one of many efforts underway to increase vibrancy, boost local businesses, and encourage foot traffic in Downtown St. Louis. More Downtown events and weekly summer activations like Lunchtime Live (April through October) will be announced soon.
