Greater St. Louis, Inc., Regional Business Council working to marshal resources in support of work being led by City, County, State, Federal, and Community leaders
ST. LOUIS – To bring the St. Louis region’s business community together in support of recovery efforts in the wake of yesterday’s storms, the Regional Business Council and Greater St. Louis, Inc. today convened their investors to receive an update from leaders from the City of St. Louis, St. Louis County, the State of Missouri, and the region’s federal delegation and to offer the united support of the business community for the ongoing work to rebuild St. Louis.
“Earlier today, we heard from Governor Kehoe, County Executive Page, Mayor Spencer, and Congressman Bell as well as Marty Lyons from Ameren about the status of the recovery effort and to make clear to them that the business community will partner with them in the work of rebuilding our community after Friday’s tragic storms,” said Karen Branding, President and CEO of RBC and Dustin Allison, Interim CEO of Greater St. Louis, Inc.
“We will work with our members to not only secure financial investment, but to also leverage their business expertise and capacities to provide whatever resources available to assist in this effort.
“At times like these, it is critical to come together with one voice in support of St. Louis. It will take time to recover and rebuild, and the business community stands together to say that we will rebuild, stronger and together as one community.
“We wish to thank Governor Kehoe, County Executive Page, Mayor Spencer, and our region’s federal delegation for their leadership and immediate response. They are all working together to lead us through this tragedy, and we are here to support them however we can.”
