Pop Pop Hurray Builds Downtown Momentum

Round orange and blue street sign reading "Pop Pop Hurray! Gourmet Popcorn" with popcorn graphic, mounted on a building.

Gourmet popcorn shop, Pop Pop Hurray, is set to open its doors at 1100 Locust Street with the help of the Downtown Retail Incentive program — a partnership between Greater St. Louis, Inc. and St. Louis Development Corporation. While they already have a footprint around the region, founder and CEO Tony Davis states that the new Downtown location will serve as the Pop Pop Hurray flagship and production facility. Not only will the new shop serve over 50 unique flavors of popcorn, but they will aim to serve the community and bring activity to Downtown.

Pop Pop Hurray and the other four Downtown Retail Incentive grant recipients are a part of the momentum to bring more small businesses back to the heart of the region. Greater St. Louis, Inc. Managing Partner Ron Kitchens states that “by incentivizing more local small businesses to move into or improve street-level storefronts, we’re adding even more vibrancy and economic activity Downtown.”
