Greater St. Louis, Inc. this morning welcomed Missouri Congressman Sam Graves, U.S. Representative for the state’s 6th Congressional District, which encompasses parts of Lincoln County in the St. Louis metro. Congressman Graves, who serves as the Chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, addressed business leaders in attendance during a Public Policy Speaker Series event.

Graves shared his own priorities for the year, answered questions from GSL Chief Policy Officer Tracy Henke, and responded to audience questions. Discussion topics ranged from FAA Reauthorization and the impact it will have on St. Louis Lambert International Airport to the widening of I-70 through Missouri.

“Congressman Graves’ committee has jurisdiction over all modes of transportation — aviation, highways and bridges, transit and rail, pipelines, and maritime and waterborne transportation,” said Henke. “We are grateful for his willingness to engage in a discussion with our investors about legislation that impacts key GSL public policy priorities for the St. Louis metro.”
