Delmar Boulevard is serving up more than a night out this fall: Delish on Delmar will bring together neighborhood restaurants, live music, artists, and makers for an evening celebrating the people and small businesses shaping one of St. Louis’ most creative corridors.
Happening on Fri., Oct. 16, the event is a celebration of the Delmar Maker District’s growing momentum. The festival transforms Delmar Boulevard between Union and Kingshighway into an open-air gathering that blends a block party, food festival, live concert, and makers market all in one space. Admission is free, and the festivities run from 5 to 10 p.m. Musical performances include Kalonda Kay, Anita Jackson, Groove Junkies, Fabulous Motown Revue, and Red and Black Brass Band.
Organized around the idea that a thriving commercial district is about more than what happens inside individual businesses, Delish on Delmar offers an opportunity to experience the whole neighborhood. Visitors can sample food and drinks from local restaurants, shop for unique finds from local artisans, and enjoy live music, all while discovering the businesses and creative spaces that make the district so distinct.
Restaurant and food and drink vendors at this year’s festival include The Cellar Cigar Lounge, Deli Divine, Del Bono, Dulce Pop, Florentin, Guys with the Fries, Honey Bee Tea, Jez Foods, Lemon Pop, Mighty Kind, Nixta, Scoops of Joy, Soul 2 Soul, The Crooked Boot, and Too Much Sauce.
The event also coincides with Third Degree Glass Factory’s monthly Third Friday celebration, giving attendees another reason to explore the neighborhood. In addition to Third Degree, visitors can discover activities at MADE Makerspace and Craft Alliance, extending the evening beyond the festival’s food and artisan vendors and main-stage performances.
