ST. LOUIS – Over the next month, Greater St. Louis, Inc. and its regional partners will meet with industry leaders in the bioscience, aerospace, and geospatial sectors, making the case that these businesses should bring jobs and investment to the St. Louis region.

“Alongside our regional partners, we are working hard to realize our mission to drive growth across the metro,” said Maggie Kost, Chief Business Attraction Officer for GSL. “Our region’s skilled workforce, development-ready sites, and transportation access to global markets are just a few of the reasons businesses thrive in St. Louis. We have a great story to tell, and we look forward to sharing that story with businesses nationally and internationally.”

Along with regional economic development partners, GSL will travel to:

  • The International Council of Shopping Centers conference in Las Vegas, where GSL and partners will target industry leaders focused on commercial real estate.
  • Select USA in Washington, D.C., where the U.S. Foreign Service hosts international businesses looking to establish offices and facilities in the U.S.
  • The international BIO Conference in Boston, where GSL and partners will pitch bioscience companies on joining St. Louis’ growing life sciences sector.
  • Fresh off the U.S. Air Force F-47 award to the Boeing Company, representatives from GSL will travel to the Paris Air Show, where they will promote the region’s strengths in aerospace and defense.

In addition to traveling to events to secure potential business expansion opportunities, in mid-May, the region will host thousands of geospatial industry leaders from around the globe at GEOINT, where they’ll see firsthand how St. Louis is the national center for geospatial technology.

Additionally, GSL will bring key site selection consultants to St. Louis to show them the region's assets in Illinois and Missouri that are ready for investment.

The proactive outreach GSL and its partners are leading to attract businesses to the region is a critical part of implementing the STL 2030 Jobs Plan and continuing the economic momentum building in the St. Louis region.
