Illinois Leaders on Tap for February Event in Alton
Greater St. Louis, Inc. brought Missouri legislative leaders together for a bipartisan forum that kicked off GSL’s Public Policy Speaker Series for 2023. Over 70 business and civic leaders from across the metro attended the discussion in the Regional Collaboration Center at GSL where Missouri House Speaker Dean Plocher, Senate President Pro Tem Caleb Rowden, and Senate Assistant Minority Leader Doug Beck talked about priorities for this year’s Missouri legislative session. “Driving pro-growth public policy is critical to the future of the metro and bringing together leaders of the Missouri legislature with our investors to discuss the critical issues we are focused on is one of the more important functions we can play as the voice of St. Louis’ civic-minded business community,” said Greater St. Louis, Inc. CEO Jason Hall. “We look forward to continuing this discussion with Illinois legislative leaders next month.” Next month’s GSL Public Policy Speaker Series will take place in Alton, Illinois, and feature a discussion with House Assistant Majority Leader Jay Hoffman and other legislative leaders about the critical issues the Illinois legislature is prioritizing this session. “One of the reasons Greater St. Louis, Inc. hosts the Speaker Series is to foster lasting relationships that will benefit the metro for years to come,” said GSL Chief Policy Officer Tracy Henke. “We want to ensure that our investors have the opportunity to hear from and share their insights with the people shaping policy at the local, state, and federal levels, and we look forward to additional opportunities to advance those conversations throughout the year.”
