Jason Hall, CEO of Greater St. Louis, Inc., issued the following statement after the Missouri General Assembly’s passage of SBs 51 & 42, legislation that will protect businesses from predatory coronavirus-related lawsuits.

“On behalf of the St. Louis business community, we applaud the legislature’s decision to protect Missouri businesses from predatory coronavirus-related lawsuits. As we continue on the road to economic recovery, SBs 51 & 42 will ensure that employers who are operating in good faith are not targeted by opportunistic COVID-19 lawsuits. This commonsense COVID-19 business liability legislation protects hardworking Missouri businesses, and we commend the legislature for sending it to the Governor’s desk.”
