Impacted residents are encouraged to apply for FEMA aid as soon as possible. The money can be used for hotel vouchers, replacing property, and other needs.
To save time, those affected by the tornado are encouraged to apply for FEMA assistance before coming to a Disaster Recovery Center. Apply by calling 1-800-621-3362 or online at DisasterAssistance.gov (to help navigate FEMA’s application process, St. Louis Public Radio has put together a helpful step-by-step guide). If you are unable to apply online or by phone, someone at the Disaster Recovery Center can assist you.
