Greater St. Louis, Inc. today led a delegation of investors and regional leaders to Jefferson City, where the group met with members of the Missouri legislature as part of GSL’s annual Day at the Missouri Capitol — an opportunity to personally connect with legislators and advocate for public policy priorities.
“The time we spend in Jefferson City allows us, our investors, and partners to directly advocate for pro-growth public policy,” said Adam Kazda, GSL’s Vice President for Government Affairs. “Strengthening these relationships builds trust and collaboration, which in turn allows us to better advocate for policies that build inclusive economic growth throughout the metro and state.”
After lunch at the office of Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe, the group met with Senate and House majority and minority leadership and members of the Senate Appropriations committee, as well as legislative sponsors of House and Senate bills. The day’s conversation focused on GSL’s key public policy priorities, including the Revitalizing Downtowns and Main Streets Act and the Advanced Manufacturing Recruitment Act, two bills that GSL researched, developed, and continues to champion alongside legislative partners.
