ST. LOUIS – Greater St. Louis, Inc. today announced today that it has added two new members to its staff leadership team. Joining GSL are Kate Loar as Senior Vice President and Chief Engagement Officer and Kylee Garretson as Senior Vice President for Business Attraction. 

“We are excited to have Kate and Kylee join our team at GSL,” said Interim CEO Dustin Allison. “They both bring years of experience in their respective fields and their leadership will be critical to our work to strengthen Greater St. Louis, Inc. for the future and continue the forward momentum of the St. Louis region.” 

About GSL’s new hires: 

  • Kate Loar will serve as GSL’s Senior Vice President and Chief Engagement Officer. In this role, Loar will lead development and investor engagement efforts. Loar previously served as Vice President of Engagement for GSL and led fundraising for Venture for America. Loar earned bachelor’s degrees in music and business from Heidelberg University and master’s degrees in arts administration and business administration from the University of Cincinnati.  

  • Kylee Garretson will be GSL’s new Senior Vice President for Business Attraction. Garretson comes to GSL from Austin Consulting where she served as a site selection consultant. As Senior Vice President, Garretson will oversee GSL’s team that helps guide companies through the site selection process. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and a master’s degree in public policy administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
